{"id":407,"date":"2018-12-04T14:19:44","date_gmt":"2018-12-04T12:19:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pq19.institutdelteatre.cat\/?page_id=407"},"modified":"2020-05-05T17:08:26","modified_gmt":"2020-05-05T15:08:26","slug":"paco-azorin","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pq19.institutdelteatre.cat\/en\/countries-and-regions-section\/participating-scenographers\/paco-azorin\/","title":{"rendered":"PACO AZOR\u00cdN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since 1996 he has created over 200 stage designs and 100 lighting designs with creators such as Llu\u00eds Pasqual (<em>Hamlet, La tempestad, M\u00f2bil, El caballero de Olmedo, Els fer\u00e9stecs, Quitt<\/em>), Carme Portaceli (<em>Lear, Sopa de pollastre amb ordi, Un enemic del poble, L\u2019auca del senyor Esteve<\/em>), Sergi Belbel (<em>El m\u00e8tode Gr\u00f6nholm<\/em>), V\u00edctor Ullate (<em>Samsara, Carmen, El amor brujo<\/em>), Joan Castells (<em>Ran del cam\u00ed, Ram de mar, Preversions<\/em>), Coco Com\u00edn (<em>Grease, Chicago<\/em>), Ernesto Caballero (<em>Rinoceronte, El jard\u00edn de los cerezos, Galileo Galilei, Inconsolable<\/em>), Miguel del Arco (<em>Refugio, Fuenteovejuna, Federico Hacia Lorca<\/em>); Mario Gas (<em>Cal\u00edgula, El veneno del teatro, S\u00f3crates<\/em>) in theatres such as the Teatre Lliure, Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Centro Dram\u00e1tico Nacional (Madrid), Teatro Espa\u00f1ol (Madrid), Teatres de la Generalitat Valenciana, Op\u00e9ra National de Paris (<em>Il prigioniero<\/em>), Gran Teatre del Liceu (<em>Le nozze di Figaro<\/em>), Festival Grec (Barcelona), Festival de Oto\u00f1o (Madrid) and Teatro Arriaga (Bilbao).<\/p>\n<p>As a stage director, he has worked at the Festival Shakespeare (<em>Hamlet, el dia dels assassinats<\/em>), Centro Dram\u00e1tico Nacional (<em>Escuadra hacia la muerte<\/em>), Festival de M\u00e9rida (<em>Salom\u00e9, Julio C\u00e9sar, Samson et Dalila<\/em>), Gran Teatre del Liceu (<em>Tosca, La voix humaine, Una voce in off, The monster at the maze<\/em>), Teatro de la Maestranza (<em>Con los pies en la luna, Tosa<\/em>), Festival de Peralada (<em>Otello, La Traviata<\/em>) and Macerata Opera Festival (<em>Otello<\/em>). In 2003 he founded the Festival Shakespeare, the only festival in Spain devoted entirely to the work of the English playwright.
